General Overview

Rosario features a humid subtropical climate. The city enjoys moderate temperatures throughout much of the year but is known for hot, very humid summers and relatively short, mild winters. Its location on the banks of the Paraná River contributes to high humidity and frequent mists, especially during autumn and winter.

Summer and Rainy Season (November to March)

Summer in Rosario is very hot and often oppressive due to high humidity. Daytime temperatures range between 30°C and 32°C (86-90°F), though heatwaves can easily push them above 35°C (95°F). This is the wettest season, with most rainfall occurring as intense and sudden afternoon or evening thunderstorms.

Winter Season (June to August)

Winter in Rosario is mild and quite pleasant. Daytime temperatures range from 16°C to 18°C (61-64°F), while nighttime lows drop to 7°C (45°F) on average. Snow is an extremely rare event in Rosario, but frost may occur in the early mornings at the peak of the season. Sunny and clear days are very common in winter.

Transition Seasons (April-May and September-October)

Autumn and spring are considered the most beautiful times to visit the city. The weather is balanced and very comfortable for activities along the river (around 22°C to 24°C / 72-75°F). In spring, nature blooms and the air is fresh, while autumn brings clear skies and pleasant evenings.
