Climate Characteristics of Aalst

General Overview

Aalst enjoys a temperate oceanic climate (Cfb per the Köppen classification), typical of central Belgium. The city's weather is influenced by its relative proximity to the North Sea, resulting in mild temperatures throughout the year and precipitation spread fairly evenly across seasons. Cloud cover is high and rain can occur at any time, keeping the agricultural surroundings of the city green and fertile.

Summer Season and Warm Months

Summer in Aalst is pleasant and very comfortable. Average daytime temperatures range between 22°C and 23°C (72-73°F), making it an ideal time for walking tours in the historic city center.
