General Overview

Kfar Giladi enjoys a climate that combines mountainous features with influences from the nearby Hula Valley. Its elevated position (approx. 350m) provides a significant climatic advantage over the valley floor – in summer, it benefits from a mountain breeze that moderates the heat, and in winter, it often remains above the valley's fog and frost layers.

Summer in Kfar Giladi is hot, yet significantly more pleasant than the settlements in the Hula Valley below. In the evenings and at night, a significant cooling is felt due to airflows from the Naftali Mountains and Mount Hermon, allowing for very pleasant evenings outdoors.

The coldest and rainiest month. Daytime temperatures range around 15°C, and at night they drop to 7°C on average. This is the peak of the rainy season, and the mountain air is exceptionally cold and clear between rain systems.

February

Winter continues in full force with temperatures similar to January. This is a month of spectacular blooming and green orchards surrounding the kibbutz. Occasional light snow may fall on the peaks above the kibbutz.

March

Transition to spring. Daytime temperatures rise to about 19°C. Nights are still quite cold. It is a volatile month where warm sunny days can quickly turn into sporadic rain showers.

April

Ideal spring weather. Temperatures climb to 24°C and humidity is very low. Visibility to Mount Hermon is at its best, and it's a perfect time for hiking in the Galilean nature.

May

Significant warming toward 28°C. Days are clear and sunny, and rain decreases until it disappears. The atmosphere becomes summer-like, but the mountain dryness maintains a comfortable feeling in the evenings.

Summer begins. Daytime temperatures range around 30°C and the sun is strong. Humidity is significantly lower than on the coastal plain, and the mountain breeze begins to be felt in the afternoons.

A hot and dry month during the day. The average daytime temperature is 32°C, and nights are pleasant (about 20°C). Heat stress is felt at noon, but the dryness eases the overall sensation.
