Climate Characteristics of Druskininkai

General Overview

Druskininkai enjoys a unique micro-climate considered one of the healthiest in Europe. The city is surrounded by vast pine forests (Dainava Forest) that act as a natural filter, producing air rich in oxygen and phytoncides. These forests also provide protection from strong winds, making the climate more stable than in other parts of Lithuania.
