The "Warmth" of the South
Malmö is Sweden's warmest major city. Located in the far south (Skåne), its climate is maritime-temperate, more akin to northern Germany than the rest of Sweden. Spring arrives here first, and winter is the shortest in the country. However, being very flat and exposed to the Öresund Strait, the city is windy and the weather is highly dynamic.
